In-Home Boarding At DogMindful, our in-home boarding service offers a safe, fun, and loving alternative to traditional kennel, always prioritizing your dog’s emotional well-being. Your dog stays in a nurturing, structured home environment with individualized attention, never a crowded facility. With my commitment to force-free, ethical practices, you can trust that your dog is cared for in a way that feels safe, respectful, and genuinely enjoyable. I host boarding dogs in my quiet detached home in Lakeview, Mississauga. The fully fenced six-foot yard provides a secure outdoor space for natural exploration and play. The neighborhood is quiet, with plenty of green spaces that support low-pressure walks—ideal for anxious or reactive dogs and perfect for building confidence while still having a good time. Because your dog is staying with a behavior professional, they are not only cared for but supported. During their stay, I provide lots of love, appropriate exercise, socialization, and gentle reinforcement of calm manners, healthy boundaries, and everyday life skills in ways that feel safe, fair, and enriching. Most guardians notice their dogs return home more settled, more regulated, and genuinely happy. Your dog will share the main space with my resident dog, Tater—a calm, 5-year-old, 85-lb neutered male rescue from Manitoba. Tater is polite and friendly with dogs of all sizes and often assists in my sessions due to his respectful communication. All boarding requests include a meet-and-match to ensure both dogs feel comfortable and that the environment remains safe, supportive, and truly enjoyable for everyone. Rates start at $75 + HST per night +$25 + HST per night on statutory holidays Pickup/Drop-off available from $25 + HST (location-dependent) All dogs joining for overnight stays must be comfortable resting in a crate. ( crate use will be discussed in advance and used only if needed.) Dogs with behavioral challenges are welcome on a limited basis to ensure they can be properly supported—please reach out directly for individualized rates and suitability.
